My mission is to awaken others to the wisdom, healing, and insight that lives within them.
Christina Hong, M.A. (she/her/hers) is a certified 200-hour yoga teacher and developmental psychologist based in the suburbs of Washington, DC. She focuses on having a yoga practice that is inclusive, student-centered, embodiment-focused, and trauma-informed. Influenced by her teachers, Christina's approach focuses on how you do it rather than how much you do.
After 14 years of studying Classical Chinese dance and ballet, Christina unrolled the mat for the first time and fell in love with yoga. She found that mindfulness practices brought clarity and solace to her life both on and off the mat. When connecting the body, breath, and mind, Christina has learned how to observe her mind rather than blindly reacting. In every class that she teaches, Christina aims to inspire her students to feel empowered in their bodies, honor their boundaries, and enjoy the beauty of the peaks and valleys along the way.
When she’s not on the mat, Christina enjoys hiking and foraging for mushrooms, tending to her many plant babies, baking sourdough bread, and playing with Peanut, her 2 year old pit bull.
